Women in the Outdoors Event (PDF)

NWTF Bland County Many Beards Chapter and VDGIF have teamed up to offer a Women in the Outdoors day at Camp Roland in Bastian, VA. If you are interested in learning new outdoor skills, meeting others with similar interests and spending time with friends and family, then this event is for you! Some of the 2 hour classes offered include: Outdoor Cooking, Archery, Outdoor Photography, Stream Fihsing, Rifle & Pistol to name a few. Mother Daughter Outdoors (PDF)

This educational workshop is designed primarily for women. It provides an excellent opportunity for anyone 9 years of age and above to learn outdoor skills usually associated with hunting and fishing, and also very useful in a variety of outdoor pursuits. The educational courses offered at this workshop provide hands on learning opportunities for participants. This event fills quickly, see upcoming flyer for details and registration form. JAKES Event

This event is hosted by the Page Valley Sportsmen's Club, Inc and the NWTF Skyline Strutters Chapter for youth 8-17 years of age. Adults are encouraged to attend with their children. Sessions will be offered in shotgun, air rifle, small bore rifle, archery and muzzleloading. Non- shooting sessions will also be offered. This event is offered at no charge. Lunch will be provided. Eastern Shore Birding and Wildlife Festival

The Eastern Shore Birding and Wildlife Festival is changing dates! The 16th annual festival will be held on September 19th, 20th and 21st in Cape Charles. The festival continue to offer a variety of trips led by experts. Come see the natural spectacle of migration. Vast numbers of raptors and songbirds pour through the Eastern Shore on their way to southern wintering grounds. Fly Fishing Workshop (PDF)

This educational workshop is designed for beginners and anglers new to the art of fly-fishing. Educational sessions will cover fly casting, fly tying, fly fishing techniques, trout biology, and selecting tackle. Shenandoah Valley Audubon Birding Festival

Shenandoah Audubon's Annual Birding Festival will be on Nov 1st of this year. Join us from 10 am until 4 pm in the War Memorial building in Winchester. There will be demonstrations with live birds and talks about how to identify birds at this annual event. Scouts can earn merit badges. There will be experts available to answer all your birding questions. Basic birding and bird walks will be offered. Bird books and crafts will be for sale. Top quality bird seed also will be available for purchase. Submit a bird related photo by Oct. 1st and you may win a pair of binoculars (see Web page)!
